The Eastern Star Line

The Eastern Star Line connects the East Shore neighborhood at the base of Old Mission peninsula to Eastern Elementary.

The Star Line departs from its Station at Jason Plum’s house 6177 East Shore Road at 8:35. It enjoys a lovely ride along beautiful East Grand Traverse Bay to the trail that runs parallel to Eastern Ave.

About a 2 km ride.

The Star Line is a perfect “drive2bike” train for those students on Old Mission who don’t live within biking distance. Parents are welcome to avoid the pickup/drop off line by throwing a bike in the car and dropping them off at the Station.

The Star Line will arrive back at its Station after school at 4:15.

A Norte! volunteer will lead The Star Line both to and from school. Parents are responsible for getting their child to The Star Line Station on time as well as picking them up there after school.

Our trains pride themselves on being punctual. We can’t be late for school therefore The Star Line will not wait for anyone.

Fridays Fantastico rules apply:

Helmets required
Safe riding mandatory
Smiles and High Fives encouraged

Please email Jason Plum, the Star Line’s chief Conductor, at if you’re planning on riding The Star Line.
