Adventure Bike Club

The fall season starts September 19 and runs through October 14 — let’s roll!

Adventure Bike Club is Norte’s spring and fall after-school program designed to challenge upper elementary and middle school students to discover new adventures. ABC boosts confidence and provides loads of fun while teaching responsible riding skills and basic bike maintenance. We ask that all riders arrive with a positive attitude and be able to ride four miles comfortably.

Adventure Bike Club meets twice a week for three weeks — the fall 2022 season begins September 19 at the following locations and times. Sessions are 90 minutes and the cost is $65 per rider.

  • Civic Center Wheelhouse, 4:30 pm (1st–8th grade, all schools)
  • Immaculate Conception, after school (1st—3rd grade)
  • Eastern Elementary School, after school (1st—3rd grade)
  • Central Grade School, after school (1st—3rd grade)
  • Suttons Bay Elementary School, after school (1st—3rd grade)

If you don’t see your school listed, or this isn’t the program you’re looking for, please consider one of our other programs at Norte Bike Programs.

Thanks to our generous donors and sponsors, Norte is proud to provide youth scholarships to ensure that all families can participate in our programs. We encourage families to apply for scholarships prior to registering at Scholarship Application.

No bike? No problem. We have program bikes available for participants who need one. You can also check out a bike for the long term through the Grand Traverse Regional Kids’ Bike Library

We use Active Network for registration. If you previously participated in a Norte program, you already have an account created. Sign in at the top of the registration page, or enter your email address username when prompted — no need to create a new family account for participation.

This short, how-to video helps walk you through the registration process, including how to sign up for a waitlist if a preferred session is full.

Norte’s rides light rain, so please pack a rain layer for your child. However, when it rains heavy it can not only be miserable and dangerous, it can also damage the trails. For Adventure Bike Club are made as early as possible and no later than 2 pm. We ask for your patience and flexibility. If the local weather app shows a 50% or greater chance of heavy rain, then your coach will cancel your team practice via group text with their team families. Makeup days are not guaranteed, but your coach will make their best effort to make up for the missed time. No refunds are issued due to weather.

We need paid coaches and volunteer assistant coaches for all of our bike programs, including ABC.

Thank you!
