Balance Bike Club
Balance Bike Club is our learn-to-ride program for preschoolers ages 2–5 years old. It encompasses direct programs with partner schools, informal meetups at the Civic Center, and, new this year, group lessons in the spring and fall. On top of that, we host an epic balance bike race each year as part of the National Cherry Festival and lend out balance bikes.
SPRING 2022 SESSIONS — NEW THIS YEAR!
These sessions are similar to riders’ lessons in our in-school program but hosted in a community setting at the Norte Clubhouse. Registration is $30, and helmets and bikes are provided as needed — just bring the energy! We do require that all children be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Traverse City, Mondays, May 9–June 6, 4:30–5:15 pm (no Memorial Day)
- Elk Rapids, Tuesdays, May 10–May 31, 4:45–5:30 pm
*We’re currently accepting registrations for the waiting list. As availability expands, we will let families know!
Balance Bike Club is the first introduction to Norte for many of our riders. It helps create a solid foundation for them to ride into Adventure Bike Club, Summer Bike Camp, and Norte’s Mountain Bike program.
We can offer Balance Bike Club thanks to amazing volunteers, donors, and Title Sponsor, TBA Credit Union.
Want to help make Balance Bike Club incredible? We need volunteers for all seasons — email Lauren to get involved at email@example.com. If you have a balance bike collecting dust, please consider donating it to Norte.
Want to support the next generation of riders?
