Advocate Academy Graduation Celebration
Let’s celebrate! Join us as we celebrate the completion of the 2019 Grand Traverse Advocate Academy. We will raise our glasses to the 12 graduates, enjoy a beverage, and slow-roll across town.
The academy introduces local decision-making, street design concepts, and community engagement to Citizen Advocates. Graduates develop confidence and join a growing coalition in support of healthy transportation. The graduation celebration is a chance to meet fellow Citizen Advocates, decision-makers, and plot future projects.
After we award graduate certificates, please join us on a bicycle ride to visit three trouble spots identified in this year’s academy. The first, the lack of infrastructure for people on foot or bike on N. Long Lake Road from the City limits to Oleson’s. The second, the problems crossing at 7th St. and Division. And, navigational problems for the trail at the Depot Property. After the slow-tour, we will top the evening off at The Filling Station.
