Bigs and Littles Bike Day

Bigs and Littles Bike Day is a bike camp experience in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan. This event is a half-day experience that provides a fun, active adventure to families connected to Big Brothers Big Sisters. It also provides a taste of Norte’s youth bike programming and the joys of developing the skills, confidence, and friendships that arise from exploring your community on two wheels. 

DETAILS

  • WHEN: Saturday, June 5, 10 am – 2 pm.
  • WHERE: Meet at the Norte Wheelhouse, the very orange building on the Northend of the Grand Traverse County Civic Center. We will end at Big Brothers Big Sisters headquarters at 900 E Front St. for pizza and socializing. All activities are outside. 
  • WHAT: When we gather, we will divide into teams based on age, go over the ABCs of biking in town, and then head out. Each team will have one coach in the lead and will be followed by Big. We will ride for approximately 90-minutes, visiting parks and other destinations in Traverse City. We will make our to the Big Brothers Big Sisters headquarters for lunch.
  • WHO: This event is open to bigs and littles from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan. Please RSVP with the form below to so that we can plan for coaches, teams, and any specific needs.

Safe and Responsible

Norte is committed to the safety and well-being of our community. We can deliver programs and events confidently because of staff and families following precautionary measures and monitoring protocols and generally looking out to protect each other. For our rides, we’re currently requiring a face mask to be worn start to finish, social distancing, and ask that people not attend if they are feeling sick. All activities for Bigs and Littles Bike Day are outside.
