Walk + Roll Focus Groups
Looking for a way to make your voice heard? We’re looking for parents and guardians of Grand Traverse area kids to give your thoughts on Norte’s programs and the state of youth biking and walking to school in the area.
As a supplement to Norte’s yearly Safe Routes to School travel tally, we’re looking to hear about your real-life experiences with walking or biking at least part of the way to school. We’ll be asking what makes you feel safer or less safe on city streets, and how Norte programs may have impacted your travel choices.
Our focus groups will take place in the month of July, in both in-person and virtual options:
Mondays, 7 pm, Zoom (pre-registration required)
Fridays, 12:30 pm, in-person at the Norte Wheelhouse
You do not need to walk or bike to school regularly to participate. We’re looking to focus on the things that make it easier, or harder, to incorporate movement into your commute. Responses from folks who don’t, or can’t, commute actively are paramount to the completeness of this study.
This feedback will be included, anonymously, in the Honors thesis work of University of Michigan Program in the Environment student Jessie Williams. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
