Kids vs. Adults — A Bike-Off

For the 2021 season, we’re again organizing a very friendly Kids vs. Adults competition for National Bike To Work Day on Friday, May 21. As part of Traverse City Bike Month, we’re challenging you to get your workplace ready.

In case you haven’t noticed, kids in TC have been pedaling to school in a big way recently and we want to keep the momentum going. Because what’s better than beating adults?!

We’re looking for a bunch of bike-tastic big people from various workplaces across TC to team up and take on the kids at several neighborhood elementary schools in the region including Eastern, Northport, Traverse Heights, Central Grade, Elk Rapids Lakeland, Willow Hill, Holy Angels, Immaculate Conception, Trinity Lutheran, and Glenn Loomis.

Remember to continue to be safe and help #stopthespread—wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) strongly recommends continued effort to stop the spread. The following steps need to be taken together for the best protection.
  • Health Check – Self-monitor and stay home if you’re feeling sick.
  • Wear a mask – Take it off when you eat or drink, then put it back on, even outside.
  • Physically Distanced – Keep six feet apart as much as you can.
  • Wash Hands – Wash hands regularly. 20 seconds with soap and water.

Norte also supports socializing outside in well-ventilated areas and getting a vaccine as soon as available.  If we all work together, we will beat this pandemic.
