Take A Mom Mountain Biking Day

This will be the 5th annual Take A Mom Mountain Biking Day. Let’s hear it for moms—whoop, whoop!

This year, Take A Mom Mountain Biking Day kicks off our Sunday Trail Rides. These are weekly, family-friendly, weekly mountain bike group ride. Although our main trail is at Timber Ridge, every third Sunday of the month, we’ll visit another regional trailhead. Wherever we ride, the goal remains the same: ride bikes on dirt, meet new friends, explore the woods, build confidence, get fit, and have fun.

For Mother’s Day, we’ll meet and ride on the trails at Timber Ridge. So, pick up some flowers and maybe a new bike helmet, and hit the trails on May 9.

Stay Safe: As Norte continues to do its part to #stopthespread of COVID-19, we ask that all participants arrive with masks on. We will limit the gathering time to 10-15 minutes before and after, maintaining six feet of socially distancing throughout. Then, hit the trails!

Parking: Please reserve parking spaces closest to Timber Ridge for registered guests. Mountain bike riders are asked to park in the unpaved parking area to the left as they enter Timber Ridge.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) strongly recommends continued effort to stop the spread. The following steps need to be taken together for the best protection.
  • Health Check – Self-monitor and stay home if you’re feeling sick.
  • Wear a mask – Take it off when you eat or drink, then put it back on, even outside.
  • Physically Distanced – Keep six feet apart as much as you can.
  • Wash Hands – Wash hands regularly. 20 seconds with soap and water.

Norte also supports socializing outside in well-ventilated areas and getting a vaccine as soon as available.  If we all work together, we will beat this pandemic.
